Go To http://ce.byu.edu/courses/univ/324748100001/public/start.htm 2. Click "begin course" (on the left hand side of the screen) 3. Enter your 7 digit Independent Study access code; click "begin course" 4. Click "Final Exam" link (on left side of screen) 5. Click "request final exam" 6. Input your personal information as requested. When done, Click "submit." 7. You will be notified by email from Independent Study that your request is in process. 8. You will be accepted into the SAM system within approximately 1 day. The TA will notify you by email that the final exam is ready for you to take.
Challenge Exam The challenge exam is reserved for students who are too late to register for the class and must meet a deadline for which ISys/MCom 100 are prequisites. These deadlines include registration for ISys 201 and application to the Business School. For example, if you need to apply for the Business School on October 30 and you miss Fall Semester first block add/drop deadline, you may take the challenge exam. For information on the challenge exam procedure, see the Course Information link in Blackboard by following the above Blackboard access instructions. However, DO NOT "conveniently" miss the add/drop deadline just so you can take the challenge exam. Even those who use Excel or PowerPoint on a daily basis for work, etc, often find that they are not familiar with the level of detail that is required in these courses. As a result, many students fail the challenge exam and must put off ISys 201 and/or application to the Business, which obviously can have serious consequences. For more information, email the course TA at mcom100@byu.edu. r(9/30/04) - |
